Our general funds cover all of the major band expenses. It covers new uniforms for our marching band and color guard. All large
instruments such as the Sousaphones, Marimbas, Xylophones, Bass Drums, our Quad Drum sets and Timpani's are covered by
the general funds. Each of these instruments can easily cost into the thousands of dollars plus maintenance. This fund also covers
transporting these instruments and the band to and from competitions. This requires two trucks and two to three busses for each
competition.
BINGO - Bingo is by far our biggest effort and covers the largest part of our general funds. We hold two sessions a week on
Saturday and Sunday at Hollywood Bingo at 38th and Kipling. Each band member is required to work shifts at the bingo hall. We
also have a large need for parents to help out as cashiers, callers and games managers. If you would like to get involved in this
effort, contact the boosters at WRHSband@yahoo.com and we will make sure you get to help in the way you wish.
TASTE OF COLORADO - Each year we staff a beverage booth at the Taste of Colorado. We get paid an hourly rate for each
person that works the booth during the event.
OTHER - Once a year we take the kids out into the neighborhoods and in front of grocery stores to directly solicit for funds. This
year we also started our annual March-a-thon. The kids solicit donations for doing what the are already going to do anyway -
march during band camp.

The student accounts cover travel for each of our major band trips. This year we are going on a Caribbean Cruise. In past years
we have gone to New York City, and Europe. These funds can also be used to purchase a new instrument for the student and
also music lessons for the student. Right now we have three different companies we are working with to build these funds. You
can work for Observ, CSC or you can purchase King Soopers certificates. Details can be found below.
